Why “Showing My Roots”?
Your roots are where you came from — what shaped you, the lessons and the losses, the strength and the values you carry. Being rooted means standing firm in what you believe while you keep on growing. And it means refusing to be ashamed of a single chapter of your story.
And after three decades in the beauty industry, roots mean one more thing to me — because in a salon, your roots are the truth that always grows back in.

Mine are 34 years deep — and I’ve never been prouder to show them.

Meet Shannon.
I’m a small-town woman with big dreams — mama to two amazing men, Glam Ma to one sassy and fierce glam baby, and the owner of my own salon since I was 20. I’ve stood behind the chair, in front of a cosmetology classroom, and at the front desk of my own business wondering how I’d make it through a slow January. I did — for 34 years and counting.
I’m also a child of divorce who went through my own divorce at 40. A single parent. An empty nester. A daughter who lost her daddies and almost lost her mama. I don’t coach from theory — I hold a certification in the degree of life. I started over at 40, and now I’m taking on the world at 50: fierce, fabulous, fit, and FLAWSOME.
Today, as a certified coach, I help people choose themselves again, help new stylists launch careers that pay, and help salon owners lead through the hard seasons — because it was never two different things. Growth always starts at the roots.
