Let’s be honest

Sound familiar?

Is this you?

  • You built a business or a career and still feel like you’re behind on it
  • You’re carrying more than your title ever prepared you for — at work and at home
  • You know something needs to change, but you keep talking yourself out of it
  • You look successful on the outside but feel drained on the inside
  • You’re entering a new season — new role, new chapter, new normal — and don’t know what comes next
  • You’re ready for encouragement, honesty, accountability, and action

Here’s what changes

  • Clarity about what you actually want next — in your business and your life
  • Confidence rebuilt after a hard season, professional or personal
  • Boundaries you can set without feeling guilty — with clients, coworkers, or family
  • A realistic plan for your business or your next chapter — and the accountability to follow it
  • You stop putting yourself last
  • You move forward without needing everything to be perfect
  • You show up as yourself again, not the version everyone else needed you to be

How I help

Get clear. Get honest. Get moving.

1

Get Clear

Identify what’s keeping you stuck — and what you actually want on the other side of it.

2

Get Honest

Recognize the patterns, boundaries, and decisions that need to change. I’ll tell you the truth with love — no sugarcoating.

3

Get Moving

Build practical steps and real accountability for your next chapter. No excuses, no playing the victim — one bold step at a time.

roots

Why “Showing My Roots”?

Your roots are where you came from — what shaped you, the lessons and the losses, the strength and the values you carry. Being rooted means standing firm in what you believe while you keep on growing. And it means refusing to be ashamed of a single chapter of your story.

And after three decades in the beauty industry, roots mean one more thing to me — because in a salon, your roots are the truth that always grows back in.

They say your roots always show.
Mine are 34 years deep — and I’ve never been prouder to show them.

Shannon Sellers standing on a small-town street

Sassy • Southern • Bold • Flawsome

Meet Shannon.

Thirty-four years in the beauty industry. Licensed cosmetologist. Once licensed as a cosmetology instructor too, though I chose to stay in the shop instead of teaching at a school. Salon owner since I was 20 years old, and I’m still standing behind that chair today. I coach and consult for the industry that raised me: continuing education, new-stylist launch, and salon leadership, for anyone ready to build something real out of a license.

And I’m proud of every bit of what got me here. I’m a small-town woman with big dreams, mama to two amazing men and two daughters-in-law I’m just as blessed to call my own, Glam Ma to two sassy and fierce glam babies. I’ve stood behind the chair, in front of a cosmetology classroom, and in front of an entrepreneurship classroom. I’ve educated for a hair company. I’ve shown up for my community. Thirty-four years later, I’m still here, and I’m not apologizing for a single chapter of it.

I’m a child of divorce who went through my own divorce at 40. A successful single parent. An empty nester who found peace and excitement on the other side of it, not just survival. I’ve lost both of my dads, my biological dad and my bonus dad, and I’ve lost my mom, all to cancer. I don’t coach from theory. My most important certification is the degree of life, though I’ve kept building real credentials right alongside it. I started over at 40. Now in my 50s, I’m more fierce, more fabulous, and more FLAWSOME than ever, and I’m grabbing this world by the reins. Through all of it, the love for my sons fueled my fire. I needed them to see a woman who was successful because she never gave up.

Today, as a certified coach, I help people choose themselves again. I help new stylists launch careers that actually pay. I help seasoned stylists reinvent their brand when it’s time for something new. I help salon owners lead through the hard seasons. It was never two different things. Growth starts at the roots, every time.
